Vacasa buys Wyndham - What does this mean for local Vacation Rental Property Managers?

Vacasa buys Wyndham - What does this mean for local Vacation Rental Property Managers?

Big news in the Vacation Rental space today with the announcement that Vacasa has completed the purchase of Wyndham Vacation Rentals for $162 Million. In my market Wyndham purchased one of the largest local vacation rental management companies a few years ago and we smaller players were worried at first. As time went on though we found that Wyndham became our number one source for new homeowners that did not like the transition. That being said I think Vacasa is a much different situation and local companies need advice on how to stand out as a knowledgeable local that can provide more personal service to compete and grow against Vacasa in a small market.

Here is a great article from Andrew McConnell about this breaking news https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/biggest-vacation-rental-deal-what-means-you-andrew-mcconnell/
